How a project runs.
Five stops from the first call to a site that’s live and working. You always know what happens next, and you get a fixed price in writing before any work starts.
-
Call
We talk about the business, not the website.
A short phone call or an email thread, whichever you prefer. What you sell, who buys it, where they come from, and what the current site gets wrong. If you have a site, I look at it before we talk.
Bring: what you do, who your customers are, and anything about your current site that bugs you.
-
Plan
You get the scope and a fixed price, in writing.
I write up the pages, what goes on each one, what the site needs to do (calls, bookings, quote requests, a shop), and the price. Nothing starts until you have that in writing and say yes.
Decide: yes, no, or change the scope. All three are fine answers.
-
Design
Your real words, on real pages.
I write the copy with you and design the pages around it, so you see the site with your actual content instead of placeholder text. You review it on your own phone and computer.
Review: does it sound like you, and is anything wrong or missing?
-
Build
Built, tested, and set up to be found.
I build the site, test it on phones and desktops, and set up the search basics: titles, descriptions, local details, a sitemap, and Google Search Console. Forms are tested end to end so messages actually reach you.
Check: one last look before it goes live.
-
Launch and care
It goes live, and you know how to run it.
I put it live on your domain, show you how to make the everyday changes yourself, and stay around for fixes and updates. If you'd rather I handle changes, I can do that too.
Ask: anything, any time. Call or text 207-538-1339.
How quoting works.
Every project gets a fixed price, in writing, before work starts.
- One number for the agreed scope. Not an hourly estimate that grows.
- Written down. The pages, what they do, the timeline and the price, in one document you can say yes to.
- Changes are quoted first. If you want something new mid-project, you see its price before I do it.
- No price list on this site. Different businesses need different sites. You get a real number for yours instead of a guess for everyone.
Common questions
Why is there no price list?
Because a four-page site for a painter and a booking site for a wellness studio are different jobs, and one price list would be wrong for both. Send me what you need and you'll get a real number, in writing, before anything starts.
Can the price change once we start?
Not for the agreed scope. If you decide you want something that was not in it, I write up the change and its price first, and you decide whether to add it.
How long does a website take?
Most fixed-scope sites take two to four weeks. The plan you get in writing includes the timeline for your project.
Do we have to meet in person?
No. Every project runs remotely, by phone, email and video call, wherever you are in Maine.
What do you need from me?
Time for the first call, honest answers about your business, photos if you have them, and quick reviews at the design and build stages. I write the copy with you, so you are not handed a blank page.
